The overall message I am trying to send through my self portrait is an inside look on my personality in such a way discovering my objects. The objects I chose have a special meaning to me. The first layer holds a very special meaning to me. It is a picture of the sky from my trip Up North to Rogers City. I loved the pink sky and so I stopped playing volleyball with my friend and picked up my camera to capture this moment. The next layer or second was a basketball. This is the basketball I described in my Artist statement for objects. This object holds a special moment in time of basketball team bonding and reminds me of my passion for the sport I love. The third layer Is a yellow flower I took a picture of in front of my house. This was the only open flower out of my 5 bushes of flowers. It was almost like it was clinging on to the fall in hopes not to die. I liked the vibrant color. I placed this layer on the side of my hair to emphasize a certain beauty. My fourth layer is a snow globe i got in Los Angeles. Spring break of 2015 our orchestra took a trip to explore music through Paramount studios and of course Disneyland. I chose this snow globe in a little store called LaLa Land. My fifth layer is my favorite sport, softball. I love the bright yellow color of the round object. I have played softball for 5 years.
